Anyone who had been friends with somebody for years can say how beautiful it is to know that no matter how hard life gets, you will always have one person to turn to. We live in a dark and hateful world and having someone who would always have your back is the most beautiful gift we could ever receive. JOSH had a hard life and experienced enough pain to break someone to pieces. If there's one good thing that happened in his life, it was probably meeting STELL. There is an obvious affection connection between them that is easily identifiable. Even in the first few videos I watched on their YouTube channels, I quickly noticed the natural chemistry between the two. it was like my mind told me, they've been friends a long time.
It turns out, I was right. They weren't just friends. They were the original group mates from their dance cover group. They've been reaching their dreams together for more than a decade. In the world of chasing fame and success, what's common is for group mates to go their separate ways and form their own paths. These two amazing people proved that friendship doesn't have to be in the way of chasing their dreams. Look at them now. Two of the members of the PPOP Phenom, SB19, shaking the foundation of what the Philippine music and entertainment should look like.
Stell had always been talented, but what people always look at first was his physical appearance. I remember him saying “he wanted to show his talent, but that was all they see” on his semi-interview video for their virtual concert. To be honest, there was nothing wrong about how he looked before. He was just too overworked. Josh was that kid who had been reminded that where was back then was where he will end up in. He was told not to dream too much and that he wouldn’t amount to anything.
Two people questioned and belittled by the world because of what they seemed to “lack”, now still together as they kick down barriers and prove to those who doubted them that they are more than just something. From the one bullied because of his looks, Stell is now one of the most good looking male celebrities, and to top it off, he can belt out notes like it’s nobody’s business. Josh was once called the weakest member of the group, but now, he already had his Lost & Found album, collaborated with a KPOP female group, won the Wish Hiphop Artist of the Year, and his songs had garnered even more awards.
Both comfortable to be in the spotlight, it's almost as if they were both meant to be stars, and the most beautiful thing is that they weren't star-crossed. They are two nobodies who dreamed of becoming somebodies and ended up becoming two of the biggest names in PPOP history. How amazing it is that they got to spend the last decade being friends, all while chasing their dreams. I'm certain that it made everything even more bearable for both of them. How reassuring it is to know that you weren't alone? I can only imagine.
People say that when you survive the seven-years itch, your relationship is meant to last a life time. JOSH and STELL have been friends for more than a decade. I think it is safe to say that their friendship is truly meant to last a lifetime. I remember a scene from The Vampire Diaries when Elena told Lexi that Stefan was different whenever he's with Lexi, more relaxed and happy. Lexi responded that if you've know a person for over hundred years, they're ought to be just themselves when they're with you. Of course, the number of years given was exaggerated to follow the fantasy-based story of the series, but the general thought of the scene applies in real life. When you've known the person for a very long time, reservations and consciousness of one's action just suddenly disappears.
In my opinion, #JoshTell are literally soulmates. They were meant to meet each other and go through life together. You can easily see it in the way they interact with each other. It's heartwarming to know that despite what JOSH had to go through in life, there was someone like STELL who was willing to take him under his wing and became one of the best people in his life to this date. As JOSH finally completes the puzzle of his life, I can only imagine the happiness that STELL feels for him. These two were friends before anything else, and I think, even after all the spotlights turn off, they will be friends until the end.
