SB19 is no longer a PPOP idol group. They've become the PPOP legends that propel a niche genre to the international scene. There's still a lot of work to do, of course, but the next generations of PPOP groups already have a path to follow. At this point, people questioning SB19's success are just simply shallow and hateful. They don't need a reason to be one, they're just are. For seven years, MAHALIMA had been introducing themselves to the world and slowly but surely, the world is setting its eyes on them. More and more foreign nationalities are appreciating them and their talents, and our own country is finally opening their arms to these five amazingly talented men.
On May 31 and June 1, the PPOP Kings held their historical Simula At Wakas kickoff concert. This 2-night concert was a massive success. Fans and casuals who attended the concert left the Philippine Arena with the same realization: SB19 is in a league of their own. After they successfully headlined the Aurora Music Festival, Abrenian Kawayan Music Festival, and the Naliyagan Music Festival, it has become apparent to the Filipino people that we actually have a massively talented group that we can front in the international stage. When GMA announced that the PPOP Kings will headline the GMA New Year's Countdown, we already know that it would be a night to remember.

Just recently, Taiwan welcomed our MAHALIMA so much love and appreciation, especially after the Taiwanese people witnessed the greatness of our very own PPOP Phenom. Hito Award 2025 was held on June 21, 2025,and SB19 was the only non-Taiwanese guest in that special night. There was no doubt that our boys will give their 100% just like with all their performances, but we never knew how the Taiwanese people would receive them. We can't deny the fact that foreigners still have their own preferences and standards, but just like always, our MAHALIMA wowed the crowd and those who watched the livestream. Positive feedback still flood on social media from locals and other foreign fans who watched the awards night.

I can only imagine the pride and joy that Mama Sony, Ms. Rose Pineda, felt that night. To see her local artists performing away from their homecourt and in an unchartered territory. And what about Kuya Yani? The person who backed them up from the beginning and helped them set the foundation of their very own company, 1z Entertainment? I can only imagine how proud he is of his little brother and his group. From those days that all five had to ride with JUSTIN, to this day that they already have their cars, they've already come so far. What's the one thing they have since before? Their undeniable talent and last Saturday, the Taiwanese people witnessed it first hand.

With SB19, all they need is each other and their love and respect for their craft. Their respect to any stage they step into is what sets them apart from the rest. They always perform like it was their first time and they have to give everything they've got because it might be their last chance. They never give a half baked performance because they respect their audience so much. I remember what they said in one of their old videos, that they always give a better performance than their last one. Having that kind of mindset keeps them hungry and dedicated. It keeps them focused on improving themselves, and it has been apparent since their PH Arena kickoff.
These five men are proof that a world-class performance don't come from promoters, networks, or managements. It comes from the person up on that stage in front of people who spent time, money, and effort. Excellence is when you don't stop learning even when you know you're already the best. When you don't settle, that's when you will achieve greatness, because greatness doesn't come from the last thing you achieved. It comes from what else can you achieve as time passes. It is based on what people will say about you when you're gone, not what you think about yourself. Most importantly, greatness is the impact you leave on the lives of the people touched by what you do.
